This comment goes with #2 since there was no comment box. I did not think the responses to questions on the policies were as well prepared as needed.

The Athletic Facility Equity Report was very long. Do you have a recommendation for making this shorter?

Tony did a great job shortening up what could of easily had been a 2 hour presentation. So no.

I think it was necessary for gathering information but it might have been presented more reflectively using team members who were. In attendance.

No! All information was needed. Great report.

It helped that he skipped the individual interviews with the principals. The thoroughness of his report did make me wish for a similarly comprehensive examination on the equity of our facilities for academic endeavors.

I have no problem with the length of the report. It was extremely well done and provided needed information to the board.
8/10/2015 10:28 PM View respondent's answers
No, in fact I think the presentation was condensed as much as it could be. The paper version was long yes, but VERY well prepared.

One of my concerns is that we ask for clarification and don't always get it. I am trying to keep better notes so I might remember to re-ask. From last night the addition of the notice to all parents on the retention policy; also where the costs for upgrades to athletic facilities fits in our 5 year capital plan. Then, we have never discussed the "value add" of Title I, other ancillary programs. I'm not sure we have agreement on the frequency/depth of reports on academic checkpoints through the year or on progress toward implementing PLCs.

Needs more thought on my part

I know it's in the works but the continuance of the choice programs in middle school ( ie what's going to happen to the Spanish Emerson etc.) . I would also like to talk about communication, in specific text message communication ( it's late and I can't remember the technical term) but basically the text message version of "connect-Ed" calls.
