Meeting Evaluation For Monday, March 25, 2013

100% Our discussion was cordial and well balanced (not dominated by just a few members).

100% Meeting Participation was encouraged

94% Everyone contributed to the meeting.

100% Reports were clear, well prepared and provided adequate information for decision making.
Comments:
N/A Printed materials given to us were easy to understand and use.
Comments:There were no reports handed out
71% Our meeting room was comfortable and conducive to discussion and decision making.
Comments: Too Hot
My favorite presentation was…….. Because…..
Lynn Moody - She said what needed to be said about achievement. Citizen participation was great! Dr. Moody explained the iRock plan very well. The student who opened the meeting from Rock Hill High School. The iRock Plan made for an outstanding meeting.
       
My best suggestion for future meeting agenda items is...
Update on custodian plan changes. Update from transportation on buses and RR crossing. Update on Montessori training and commitment for  keeping the program. Common Core. We need to mention the QT land sale at a business meeting.

Rock Hill School Board March Work Session Evaluation #rhschoolboard

1. What was your favorite part of the meeting?

  • Students showing how they use their iPads
  • Long discussion about best part of meeting.
  • Hannah Cramer opening the meeting.
  • Information from policy KF
  • Talking with students with their iPads.
  • iPad demonstration by students.
  • Elementary and middle school students demonstrating their iPads
2. What was your least favorite part of the meeting?
  • Critique Team presentations
  • Board sub-committee discussion because several people were very negative
  • Critique Team presentation. Presenters seemed to be negative toward the board.
  • Critique Team presentation.  There was a small participation from their teams on votes.
3. Suggestions for improving future meetings?
  • Keep presentations short
  • All information should be in the board packet so board can be prepared in advance. Needed the financial information sheet that was referenced in Finance Critique Team report. Power Point slides need to be readable when shown. Technology information needed to be in meeting packet.
4. Items for future reports and/or discussion?
  • Non functional rail road crossings
  • Grading Policy
  • Academic sub-committee
  • Restrictions on senior citizen school cards
